In compliance with its commitment to transparency, the Revita Fund discloses its 7th report quarterly implementation, referring to the implementation until 31 March 2019.

Following the large-scale fires that affected the municipalities of Castanheira de Pera, Figueiró dos Vinhos and Pedrógão Grande, in June 2017, they joined the Revita Fund. 63 entities, with donations in cash, in goods and in the provision of services. Cash donations amount to EUR 4.788.886,58. In view of the scale of the responsibilities assumed by the Fund, the Ministry of Solidarity and Social Security increased the funding of the Revita Fund in EUR 2 500 000, which add to the mentioned value

Within the established framework of cooperation, the Revita Fund, through its Technical Commission, provided the distribution of houses to be recovered and rebuilt in the three municipalities affected, but also in the adjacent municipalities of Góis, Pampilhosa, Sertã and Penela.

In this context, the various funds were allocated to the reconstruction of 259 first-dwelling houses, it should be noted that, of this set, 219 have been completed..

The Revita Fund is directly in charge of the rehabilitation of 99 houses, with a more demanding intervention profile as they are mostly integral reconstructions. At the end of March 2019, 75 of these houses have been completed.. The financial implementation is, of course, more phased, with the total value of EUR 2 397 432.70.

The Board of Directors decided to apply part of the donations of the Revita Fund in the recovery of the activity of agricultural producers and subsistence agriculture, thus covering the farmers who have suffered losses above € 1,053 and below € 5,000, also due to the fires of June 2017 in the municipalities of Figueiró dos Vinhos, Castanheira de Pera and Pedrógão Grande.

In this context, subsidies have been awarded and processed to 1131 agricultural producers, for a total value of EUR 3.442.967,76. This responds to duly identified needs, not covered by public policy measures aimed at the areas and population affected by the fires, contributing directly to the well-being of the populations and the revitalization of the affected territories.
